Satellite - Goods Shed North Urban Art Program.

Satellite have been working with Equiset to develop an exciting new urban art program, being unveiled in December 2009.

Goods Shed North is one half of what was known as Goods Shed #2. Built in 1889 it was the biggest railway shed ever constructed in the Melbourne Yards. The building is now split in half by the extension of Collins Street, and Goods Shed North extends from the Collins Street Bridge to Bourke Street, across the road from Telstra Dome Stadium.

Natalie King and Simon Maidment are developing a program where artists will engage with this unique site, building and history. A combination of permanent and temporary commissions are anticipated.
